meet Shane

What Shane thinks about Shane
I work on the milling machines that make the soap bars here at BECO. It’s a really nice soap, and hand cut... by my hands! We use a lot less machinery here to create more jobs. They even got rid of one machine because it was too efficient. Not many companies would do that. I want to go as far in life as possible. I want to learn a trade, ideally plumbing, which will open doors and hopefully let me have my own company and emigrate to Spain or America. If I do have my own company one day, working here has definitely opened my eyes to who I would employ.

What Shane’s manager Ozzie thinks of Shane
Apart from being a Liverpool supporter, he’s a good lad. He does a lot without needing to be told and is great at cutting soap. Once he learns how to do something, he’s good at it. I think, he’d make a good plumber and a good boss. He just needs more experience under his belt.

What Shane’s dad thinks of Shane
He is a nice boy and doesn’t get into any trouble. He’s very helpful. A really good kid. I couldn’t ask for more! He really enjoys working at BECO. and helping his colleagues.

If you’re not here to hire, you can still help. Every bar of soap and bottle of hand wash we sell helps provide real jobs for people with disabilities, like David in production.
